Healing our Religious Past with Healthy Spirituality

We can learn to appreciate what was helpful from our religious past and to grieve and let go of what was painful. Then we are free to face the challenges in our current life with a healthy spirituality. In this workshop/retreat, we will find new ways to be adult about religion and spirituality and learn to integrate the best of both. We combine lecture, discussion, and specific techniques that help us work through the concerns that still hang on as we also find new styles of spirituality that liberate us.

5 Continuing Education hours available for MFT and LCSW. A $5 charge.

Retreat Leaders:

Radhule Weininger PhD, MD, leads Mindfulness Meditation sessions twice weekly at La Casa. She is a psychotherapist practicing in Santa Barbara. She has done healing work with victims of sexual abuse by clergy for many years.

Dave Richo PhD, MFTis a practicing psychotherapist and writer. He is a popular retreat and workshop leader. In his recent book, The Five Things We Cannot Change, he focuses on the Yes that we need to say to life in order to achieve deep spirituality and sanity.
