Contemplative practices will lead us to experienceing the heart of His teachings.One of the great blessings of a faithful practice of Centering Prayer is that it allows us to begin to "put on the mind of Christ" by patterning in ourselves the pathway that He himself taught and modelled. In this retreat we will allow our practice of Centering Prayer to lead us deeper into the teachings of Jesus and the remarkable Unitive Wisdom at their core.

Retreat Leader: Cynthia Bourgeault is an Episcopal priest, author, renowned retreat leader and scholar of the Christian contemplative path..She is a masterful guide to Jesus' vision, inviting us into self-emptying. The teaching will be based on Cynthia Bourgeault's acclaimed book, THE WIDSOM JESUS (Shambhala Publications, 2008), and will focus particularly on the those three intertwining threads of his teaching: kenosis (self-emptying), abundance, and singleness (attained oneness, or nondual awareness.)

Cynthia is a core faculty at Spiritual Paths Institute.
