Cherimoya
Mark Twain referred to them as "the most delicious fruit known to ‘wo’-men” and the Cherimoya is thought to have originated in Central / South America. They are known to some as custard apples. When ripe, it is sweet and smooth and can easily be scooped out with a spoon.
La Casa’s Organic Orchard bore some gorgeous fruit this year and we were able to share them with some with our neighbors. Some families are slowly returning back into their rebuilt and repaired homes damaged or destroyed by the mud and debris flow of Jan. 9, 2018.
